In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and daily care needs while helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.This Position May Also Be Known AsCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Caregiver, depending on experience and certification.SummaryThe Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides direct personal care and support to residents in accordance with individualized care plans, state regulations, and Americare standards. This role works closely with nursing and therapy teams to ensure residents receive high-quality, respectful, and person-centered care.What You’ll DoProvide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingAssist with transfers, lifting, repositioning, and mobility as neededObserve, document, and report changes in resident condition and care providedSupport restorative nursing and therapy activities as directedMaintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residentsReport accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitorsWork collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team membersFollow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of required safety equipmentWhat You BringQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be 16 years of age or olderValid CNA certification in the state of employmentPrevious experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but not requiredSkills & AbilitiesCompassionate, resident-centered approach to careAbility to work effectively as part of a healthcare teamStrong communication and observation skillsDependable, professional, and safety-focusedPhysical DemandsLift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as neededPush, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistanceManeuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.Safety ExpectationsAdhere to all safety protocols, including two-person lifts and use of mechanical lift equipmentUtilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogensReport work-related injuries promptly and complete required documentationJoin Americare Senior Living and make a meaningful difference by providing compassionate, hands-on care to residents in your local community.Equal Opportunity EmployerAmericare Senior Living is committed to equal employment opportunities and welcomes applicants from all walks of life.
