Sample Sewer / Garment Sewer (Per Project)

BERTHOLLET NYC – NYC BERTHOLLET NYC is a patternmaking and product development studio working with emerging and established fashion brands. We specialize in patternmaking, sample development, and technical design. We are looking for an experienced sample sewer to assist with garment construction on a per-project basis. This role is not hourly or salaried. Work is assigned per garment/project, with compensation agreed upon before the project begins. Responsibilities Sew development samples from patterns provided by the studio Construct garments following tech packs and construction notes Work with both woven and knit fabrics Execute clean, professional garment finishing suitable for development samples Make revisions to samples after fittings when needed Communicate clearly with the patternmaker during the development process Requirements Strong garment construction skills Experience sewing development samples or fashion garments Ability to sew accurately from patterns without step-by-step instructions Experience working with both woven and knit fabrics High attention to detail and craftsmanship Compensation Paid per project / per garment Rates vary depending on garment complexity Payment terms discussed and agreed upon before work begins Position details NYC based Freelance / project-based work Flexible schedule depending on studio needs To Apply Please email info@bertholletnyc.com with: A short introduction Your sewing experience Photos of garments you’ve sewn (if available) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in New York, NY 10018
