The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Android ecosystem and mobile app development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.Key Responsibilities:Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality Android applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proven software development experience and Android skills development.Experience with Android SDK and different versions of Android.Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.A knack for benchmarking and optimization.Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.Familiarity with continuous integration.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.Knowledge of the mobile app design guidelines on Android and related technologies.Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.Previous experience with user-centric design and development.Benefits:Competitive salary plus uncapped commission20 Days of PTO (Paid Time Off) and 13 days of companywide holidays8 hours to volunteer and impact the communityComprehensive benefits (Health/Dental/Vision/ 401K)The work/life set up you need to be successful.TCP is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive team.
