General Foreman Steel

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as a General Foreman working in the field ** Pay based on experience High School Diploma or G.E.D., 4 years Welding Experience, Job Description: Shure-Line Construction is looking for a General Foreman to supervise and coordinate the structural steel field work crew. The candidate must understand and support the adherence to all of our safety policies and procedures. The General Foreman must also have strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others to perform at their best. It is also a requirement for the candidate to ensure that the project is completed in a safe and efficient manner while also working with the customer during the project to maintain 100% customer satisfaction. The General Foreman must have the ability to conduct project pre-planning which includes reviewing estimates and proposals, as well as tracking and reporting any changes to management. The candidate must have a good knowledge of proper documentation and OSHA regulations. This position requires skills with problem solving, decision-making, planning, estimating, safety, scheduling, cost control, and human relations. The candidate must be totally committed to maintaining customer satisfaction and keeping the project sufficiently profitable to meet the company’s anticipated goals. Key Accountabilities: Safety Management/Planning/Reporting Quality Administration/Management Employee Training and Development Employee Attendance Responsibilities: Order all necessary material for the job. Ensure all material is checked in correctly. Turn in all receiving papers with purchase order. Manage your time and your subordinate’s time effectively. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Ensure you have all the tools needed ahead of time. Protect and maintain all tools assigned to you. The candidate also must take inventory of all tools once per year. Coordinate work with other trades and must layout work ahead of time. Know and understand project cuts and submittals. Attend all job site inspections. Ensure and enforce all safety procedures and policies. Conduct one safety audit a month. Required OSHA/PINS training and continuing education classes, minimum of 8 hours per year.
