Our team is excited to meet you!\n\nJob Overview & Responsibilities\n\nAt ULA we’re invested in evolving our software capabilities through the creation of new launch system simulations to augment our existing software and hardware-in-the-loop test capabilities.\n\nAs a Software Simulation Engineer, you will:\nParticipate in an agile scrum team to develop simulations of launch vehicle and launch pad systems in support of the software development and mission integration teams.\nDevelop and document software requirements.\nDevelop and implement software designs.\nPerform peer review and test of implemented software.\nParticipate in collaborative planning across software teams to identify simulation needs.\nCollaborate with system owners to ensure software simulations accurately reflect the systems being simulated.\n\nRequired Education\n\nBachelor\n\nRequired Years of Experience\n\nMinimum of 6 years of related work experience\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university\nExperience with Real Time Linux-based operating systems\nExperience with developing and troubleshooting of timing-critical Hardware and Software systems\nExperience in authoring, executing and review of Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) plans of Avionics Hardware\nExperience across a variety of chip, board and network level communication protocols\nExperience with object-oriented designs and languages\nExperience with C/C++/Python\n\nExperience with software development practices including:\nConfiguration Management practices and tools such as Git\nContinuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with software control systems\nExpertise with Hardware Description Languages (Verilog / VHDL)\nFamiliarity with and understanding of DevSecOps pipelines and processes\nTechnical leadership experience in an Engineering environment\nExperience presenting hardware / software / system architecture and designs to both internal audiences as well as external customers\nFamiliarity with standards such as RCC-319, SMC-012/021 or DO-178\n\nSummary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver only): $137,767.00 - $229,612.00\n\nPlease note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
