Join us and spearhead the charge toward a tech future that transcends the ordinary.\nYou will be focused on leading the development of Python backend services running on AWS, managing PostgreSQL databases, architecting Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and ensuring seamless cloud-to-cloud integrations critical to the BX platform.\nKey Responsibilities\nFacilitate effective communication with client project stakeholders regarding project status and technical recommendations.\nLead the design and development of backend services and APIs using Python and the Pyramid framework on AWS.\nArchitect and manage PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and performance optimizations for clinical-grade data.\nBuild and maintain AWS infrastructure including Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, API Gateway, and cloud-to-cloud integration patterns.\nDefine backend coding standards, API design patterns, security best practices, and testing strategies.\nMentor and guide backend engineers, driving engineering excellence across the team.\nEngage in agile software development including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and estimation.\nIndependently drive project delivery within defined architecture, demonstrating autonomy from conceptualization to deployment.\nMinimum Qualifications\nExperience/expertise in the following areas specified below:\nDesign and implement scalable backend services and APIs using Python\nArchitect PostgreSQL databases with strong skills in schema design, query optimization, and data integrity\nUtilize AWS services: Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, IAM, and cloud-to-cloud integrations\nMentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering standards across the team\nDeliver production systems with high reliability, observability, and security\nMust-Have Skills & Tools:\nLanguages: Python, javascript, SQL, REST API\nOAUTH 2\nDocker\nDatabase: PostgreSQL (advanced — schema design, performance tuning, stored procedures)\nCloud: AWS – Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda\nTools: Jira, Bitbucket/GitHub, Slack/Teams\nGood to Have Skills\nFramework: Pyramid (Python web framework)\nVsCode\nTypescript\nSnowflake\nSQL Alchemy (ORM)\n6+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2+ years in a lead or tech lead role.\nStrong understanding of SOLID principles, OOP, and clean architecture patterns.\nFamiliarity with OWASP security practices.\nEnglish proficiency.\nAdditional Experience Desired\nExperience with clinical or healthcare data systems (HL7, FHIR, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).\nKnowledge of microservices and serverless architectural patterns.\nExperience with Docker, container orchestration, and modern CI/CD tooling.\nProficiency with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD practices.\nWhat is it like working for 3Pillar Global?\nAt 3Pillar, we offer a world of opportunity:\nImagine a flexible work environment – whether it’s the office, your home, or a blend of both.
