Houseman The Houseman is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the hotel's common areas. Other responsibilities in this role: Clean and maintain the hotel's common areas to include the lobby after 12 p.m. check-out, restrooms, pool, business center, elevators, and fitness center Atrium cleaning, sweeping, mopping daily 2 times a week Helping housekeepers with cleaning rooms, vacuuming hallways Perform field work and landscaping as needed, sweeping the sidewalk picking leaves Maintain parking lot cleanliness Address all guest and employee encounters in a professional and personalized manner in all areas of the hotel Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel Always maintain a professional image and a positive attitude Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures in the event of an incident Assist with any training that may be needed to improve job performance Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull Standing and moving around the hotel for a long time Frequent handling of objects and equipment for facility maintenance Able to work alone as well as be a team member.
