ServerJob Title: To-Go CashierReports To: General ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummary: Sales and service of Food and Beverage to guests. Presents guest with bill and accepts payment, server banking.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.First, be very knowledgeable about the menu itemsImmediately greet the guest.Display your personality. Be the individual you are.Take their drink order firstRemind the guest of the daily specials and featured items menuAnswer any questions the guest asksDeliver their drinksTake their order and send it to the kitchenThe food runner or server will bring the items to the table. The food runner or server should verify for accuracy and then announce the items to the guests as the items are placed in front of the guest.The food runner or server asks if anything additional is needed such as extra pitas or condimentsThe server should consistently follow up with the guest. Verify happiness with food, refill drinksAfter guests are finished eating, pre-bus the tables. Provide a left over container if necessary for the guest.Suggestive sell dessert itemsServe guest dessert ordersAt check time, provide the guest the check in a check presenter.Thank the guest for coming in and welcome them back.Selling of alcoholic drinks to guests. and checking identification for age.Maintain cleanliness and organization of restaurant and lounge area.Complete all required side work.May be required to be responsible to work with till and turn in balance.Provide courteous service and be cordial to all employees and guests.Competency:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Skills - Server must be able to serve hot and cold dishes, and drinks, including alcoholic drinks.Guest Service - Responds promptly to guest needs.Interpersonal - Provides a friendly and hospitable service to guestsOral Communication - Speaks clearly and listens to guests; responds well to questions;Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments;Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
