Shipping Receiving Clerk
The objective of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is to maintain timely effective movement of materials and goods into and out of the plant in order to ensure safe and on-time delivery to the customer.
Your tasks .
Pick customer orders from list, stage order and prepare for shipment making sure cartons are stacked in a manner that will not damage the case or its contents. Prepare and print bar code labels using RF scanner to accurately document the shipment.
Prepare debit memos and bills of lading manually for outgoing shipments when required.
Load and unload trucks as needed using a sit down forklift.
Receive goods, raw material, and work in process inspect and verify receipt as to contents, quantity, and condition.
Move parts from audit to finished goods rack. Weigh and Tag raw material at incoming and move to material racks.
Stage raw material for production as needed.
Package by weight any returning product from subcontractors that was shipped and received in bulk packaging.
Ensure personal adherence to all Environmental Health and Safety rules and procedures are maintained, including housekeeping and proper operation of tools and equipment.
Perform specific assignments as instructed by supervisor.
Your profile .
Education and Experience:
Work requires the ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations to maintain accurate records. These skills are normally acquired through the completion of a high school education.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with computer operation and can comfortably navigate a windows like system using mouse and keyboard.
Minimum 1 year Forklift operation experience specifically sit down forklift and stand – up stacker equipment. Must be able to operate electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks as well.
Skill/ knowledge requirements:
Capable of working independently.

Working Conditions:
Work requires the ability to move about to various locations of the facility 100% of the work time.
Must be able to lift as least 35 pounds, stand or walk 95% of the day, and bend to pack and unpack cartons.
Able to adapt to change in activities and plans in order to accommodate changing schedules.
