Position: Mechanical Design Engineer - Commercial Building SystemsLocation: Pleasanton, CA (East Bay)Salary: $90K - $140K (DOE)Overview: An established engineering firm in the East Bay is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support a variety of commercial and institutional building projects.This role is a strong fit for candidates with backgrounds in engineering consulting, construction, or building systems design who enjoy working across both design and project execution. You will play a key role in delivering practical, real-world engineering solutions while collaborating closely with clients, architects, and construction teams.Responsibilities:Design and coordinate mechanical systems for building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and related infrastructureDevelop construction documents, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and similar toolsCollaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to translate project requirements into effective design solutionsParticipate in site visits, field observations, and coordination with construction teams to support project executionSupport projects from conceptual design through construction, including troubleshooting and resolving field issuesContribute to project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful and timely completionBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholdersSupport and mentor junior staff as neededRequirements:5+ years of experience in mechanical design, building systems, construction engineering, or consulting environmentsExperience supporting commercial, institutional, or large-scale building projects (office, healthcare, education, mixed-use, etc.)Background working with architects, contractors, or construction teams on active projectsUnderstanding of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, or building mechanical infrastructureFamiliarity with California building codes; experience with Title 24 is preferredProficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit; additional design tools are a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a collaborative, project-based environmentBenefitsCompetitive SalaryMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Holidays Email Your Resume In Word ToNate.Paules@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
