This role will support the design, deployment, administration, security, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Azure cloud environments, with an emphasis on cloud infrastructure, data lifecycle management, automation, and emerging artificial intelligence technologies. The Azure Cloud & Data Engineer will work across cloud engineering, data management, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and automation while collaborating with technical teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable cloud and data capabilities. The role may also support the integration and use of generative AI technologies, including Claude, within enterprise applications and workflows.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, deploy, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud environments.\nSupport Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, access, security, and data services.\nSupport data lifecycle management activities, including data ingestion, storage, organization, access, retention, archival, and secure disposal.\nDevelop and maintain cloud-based data workflows, integrations, and automated processes.\nSupport Azure-based data platforms, storage solutions, databases, and associated infrastructure.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar technologies.\nAutomate cloud, data, and operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, or similar technologies.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps processes, and cloud automation.\nSupport the integration of generative AI technologies, including Claude and other large language model technologies, into enterprise applications and workflows.\nImplement and maintain cloud security, identity and access management, data protection, and governance controls.\nMonitor cloud and data environments, troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support remediation activities.\nCollaborate with cloud, data, cybersecurity, software development, DevSecOps, and AI/ML teams on technical requirements and solutions.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, runbooks, and operational procedures.\nParticipate in Agile delivery activities and continuous process improvement.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nActive Secret security clearance required prior to onboarding.\nU.S. citizenship required.\nExperience or demonstrated technical knowledge in Microsoft Azure, cloud engineering, data engineering, data management, DevOps, or a related technical discipline.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud computing concepts.\nUnderstanding of data lifecycle management concepts, including data storage, organization, protection, movement, retention, and disposition.\nFamiliarity with scripting, automation, or programming using Python, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, or similar technologies.\nWorking knowledge of cloud security, networking, identity and access management, and data protection principles.\nStrong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-focused technical environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
