{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"363f0e6f588bfc1c6e7cff2c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/363f0e6f588bfc1c6e7cff2c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/363f0e6f588bfc1c6e7cff2c","title":"Infrastructure Project Manager","description":"Infrastructure Project Manager with K-12 Education project experience and PMP or PMI-ACP certification.\nWork Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)\nThis is a full-time Hybrid Role (9:00 am to 5:00 pm, M-F, CST).\nThe candidate should expect to be periodically ON SITE at the CLIENT Office, Chicago, IL., and may be required to attend meetings/events as deemed necessary.\nDuration: 6+ months\nClient: Education (K-12)\nThis position resides in the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) of the Information and Technology Services (ITS) department of the CLIENT.\nThis position will work closely with CLIENT Technology Infrastructure teams.\nThe Senior Project Manager will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:\nSupporting business and project management staff\nCollaborate with teams to define project scopes, initiating and managing large, complex technology projects\nCreating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements\nCapture requirements and tasks for multiple projects.\nChallenge the validity of given procedures and processes with the intent to enhance and improve\nInitiating and managing multiple projects in parallel and with multiple dependencies\nProducing project reports and performance metrics\nCommunicating with the Portfolio Management Office manager and ITS management regarding the status of a portfolio of projects\nConduct monthly risk assessments to Identify and manage project risks\nUsing influence to eliminate bottlenecks and potential resource alignment problems\nManaging projects and projects within standard project management methodologies to time, quality, and budget.\nCreate and articulate executive-level communication on a project or program level.\nIdentifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities\nManaging through all stages of the project life cycle\nIdentify and manage project dependencies and critical path.\nManaging stakeholders and stakeholder expectations.\nProviding excellent service to clients (internal and external to ITS)\nEffectively managing vendor relationships in accordance with CLIENT and ITS strategies and directives\nDevelop and maintain processes and procedures for ongoing management of the infrastructure systems.\nDirect the creation and maintenance of the required documentation and artifacts. As well as facilitate the defining / revising of operational processes.\nProviding project status and other deliverables at each stage of a defined project\nDemonstrating a willingness to collaborate and support the PMO and ITS peers and leadership\nPlanning, directing, and implementing complex projects on time, within budget and with desired functionality\nAbility to work across multiple departments and negotiate differing priorities\nPerforming related duties as required\nIn order to be successful and achieve the above responsibilities, the Senior Project Manager must possess the following qualifications:\nType of Education Required:\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university\nPMP or PMI-ACP Certification\nType of Experience and Number of Years:\nMinimum seven (7) years of related experience required\nAt least seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in Project Management, preferred\nAt least five (5) years of experience in Information Technology, preferred\nExperience in Education (K-12) project work, preferred\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nExperience with IT Infrastructure projects such as\nServer implementations\nInformation Security implementations\nNetwork infrastructure implementations\nTelecommunication implementations\nProficient in Project Management practices, principles, and tools\nCI/CD, DevSecOps, PMP or Agile methodology and experience.
