{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"36217f1f165cd45da0d4d3f3","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/36217f1f165cd45da0d4d3f3","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/36217f1f165cd45da0d4d3f3","title":"Civil Engineer / EIT","description":"APECO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer / Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team in Hemet, California.\n\nThis position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being involved in a variety of projects and wants hands on experience with civil engineering design, land development, permitting, construction and project coordination.\n\nThe Civil Engineer / EIT will work directly with our Professional Engineer and project team on commercial, residential and land development projects throughout Southern California.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n* Prepare and assist with civil engineering plans, calculations and technical documents\n* Prepare grading, drainage, utility, street and site improvement plans\n* Perform engineering calculations and assist with drainage and stormwater design\n* Prepare plans and exhibits using AutoCAD and Civil 3D\n* Assist with tentative maps, parcel maps, lot mergers and other land development projects\n* Review plans, specifications and agency comments\n* Prepare plan check responses and make revisions based on agency comments\n* Coordinate with cities, counties, utility companies, consultants, contractors and clients\n* Assist with permit processing and project approvals\n* Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed\n* Assist with construction related questions and field coordination\n* Maintain organized project files and track project deadlines\n* Work directly with the Principal Engineer on projects from initial design through permitting and construction\n\nQualifications\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field\n* Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred\n* AutoCAD experience required\n* Civil 3D experience strongly preferred\n* Knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities and land development principles preferred\n* Strong written and verbal communication skills\n* Ability to read and understand construction and engineering plans\n* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail\n* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines\n* Valid California driver's license\n\nExperience\n\nEntry level candidates with strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills are encouraged to apply.
