(see E Ink │ Our Company)About the Position:This internship supports the development of spray drying processes for pigments and related materials. This role will focus on improving process efficiency, reducing cycle time, and enabling scalable material processing. The intern will work closely with a technical mentor on a defined project with clear deliverables.Responsibilities:Conduct spray drying experiments to establish baseline conditionsOptimize process parameters (e.g., temperature, feed rate, atomization)Characterize material properties (particle size, morphology, dispersibility)Compare spray-dried materials with wet-processed materialsDocument results, analyze data, and summarize findingsPresent results and recommendations at the end of the internshipQualifications:Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related fieldExperience with spray drying or similar unit operationsFamiliarity with particle characterization techniques (e.g., DLS, TGA, Zeta potential, SEM etc.)Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, jmp, Python, etc.)GPA of 3.0 or higherHands-on laboratory experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentBenefits:The anticipated base pay for this position is $30-40 per hour, DOE, for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.Medical plan that begins on the first day401k Plan ParticipationIntern Time OffCourses/classes at E Ink UniversityOur culture is built on value commitments to innovation, quality, results, integrity, community, people, and collaboration that fosters a strong employee engagement, teamwork, safety and wellness.E Ink is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
