About the EmployerThe Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) is located in Northern California and serves 13 districts and 17 charter schools in Butte County and provides services to students and educators in all 58 California Counties and employs 1400 people in Butte County and across the state.Job SummaryCredential Information This position requires one of the following credentials: • A valid, unexpired California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with authorization in Visual Impairments, or • A valid, unexpired California "legacy credential" listed in 5 CCR § 80047.8 authorizing instruction for students with visual impairments • A valid, unexpired English Learner authorization (such as an embedded EL Authorization, CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE) is required. An emergency EL authorization may also be considered. Applicants who do not yet hold a valid California Education Specialist credential, as described above, should upload documentation showing eligibility to obtain the authorization.
