Job Summary:
The Project Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Project Management team and Superintendent with a variety of initiatives and duties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with organizing and managing the submittal and delivery schedule to coordinate with project schedule
Assist with conducting complete and accurate quantity take-offs
Support change order pricing efforts
Help produce timely change orders and RFI submittals
Assist with meeting minutes
Assist with subcontractor coordination
Help prepare job schedules
Other project management and/or administrative duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Enrollment in, or early acceptance into, the Construction Management program or related degree program at a 4-year college or university
Demonstrated work ethic
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Good time management skills and organizational skills
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
Ability to be a self-starter
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, kneel; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, talk and hear. This position requires that the employee be able to drive vehicles to and from different locations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
