In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, labeling, processing, and preparing biological specimens, such as tissue samples, for analysis. Your attention to detail and adherence to protocols will ensure the accuracy and integrity of specimens, contributing to high-quality diagnostic results.\n\nShift: 1st Monday- Friday 10a-6:30p\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSpecimen Handling: Receive and verify incoming specimens, ensuring correct patient identification and test requisitions.\nLabeling & Documentation: Accurately label specimens and enter patient and specimen information into the laboratory information system (LIS).\nProcessing: Prepare specimens for histological analysis, including embedding, sectioning, and staining as per established protocols.\nQuality Control: Perform quality checks to ensure specimens meet processing standards and maintain accurate records.\nEquipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.\nSafety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and safe work environment.\nCommunication: Collaborate with laboratory staff and communicate effectively regarding specimen status and processing timelines.\n\nPreferred Profile:\n\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in laboratory technology or histology preferred.\nExperience: Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting, particularly in specimen processing or histology, is advantageous\n\nSalary and Benefits:\n\n$15-$19/hour DoE\nHealth, Vision, Dental\n\nAbout Us:\n\nAt Lighthouse Lab Services, we offer solutions to help start, grow, and run clinical laboratories.
