This role will ensure compliance to applicable laws and regulations, develop programs, policies, and procedures designed to keep our team members safe and protect the environment. This role will require the building of collaborative relationships across all functions as well as collaborating with other sites and EHS staff. Duties will include:\nResponsible for maintenance of safety, accident and environmental compliance records.\nImplement and monitor similar environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and reporting for the US.\nProvide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs to employees to ensure a common and effective approach\nPractice safe working techniques and reinforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures established by the company\nResponsible for identification of risks of losses; evaluating the risk of the loss exposure; developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to ensure its effectiveness\nSupervises or advises on the development of specifications for the purchase of safety and safety-related equipment.\nEnsure that contractor personnel working at company facilities are in compliance with company policies and safety requirements.\nMaintain and update as needed SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment and utilize them in the day to day training\nProvide advice, assist and audit line management to ensure that effective EHS is implemented and working.\nPerform and contribute to the Site Training Plans by conducting employee orientations; emergency response training; and coordination of training programs for the Operations\nEnsure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected\nMaintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements\nPrepare and maintain the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures\nAccountable for researching and writing permit applications and working with regulatory agencies and being compliant in completing permit reporting requirements.\nReview accidents and incidents which occur and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions\nServes as liaison with environmental and safety officials of governmental agencies, industry organizations and committees and with representatives of state and federal regulatory agencies.\nEnsures projects are completed on time and within budget.\nSupport and lead incident investigations to address root cause\nQualifications:\n5+ years Safety Management within a production environment.\nStrong working knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental laws to ensure compliance with all regulations.\nBachelor's degree relating to Industrial Safety preferred.\nPossess knowledge of Health, Safety and Risk Management systems\nProven experience in the development and delivery of training\nSelf-starter and hands on individual who enjoys challenge, can provide creative solutions to unique problems and can manage and develop the Health, Safety and Risk Management functions\nProficiency in all MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)\nExcellent follow-up and organizational skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nProven ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrated ethical behavior and integrity and sound, logical judgment.\nMust be able to work with all levels within the organization and handle multiple tasks.\nMedical\nVision\nLong and Short Term Disability\nEmployer Paid 25K Life Insurance\nOther Supplemental Policies\nPhysical Wellness Program\nPaid Maternal/Paternal Leave\nTuition Reimbursement Program\n401(k) & Company Match\nWe encourage and welcome applicants with any and all backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and competencies.
