Location: Colorado Springs, COPosition Type: Full Time Nurse Practitioner Cardiothoracic SurgeryOverview An excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced clinical care in a cardiothoracic surgery practice setting. This role involves ICU management, surgical first-assisting, outpatient clinic coverage, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-first care. Practice Highlights Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients.Assist in cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and first-assisting when needed.Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patients, including rounding and evaluations in CVICU, floor, and clinic.Participate in two full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed.Rotate through operating room coverage Monday Friday.Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals.Perform bedside procedures appropriate to patient population.Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and prescriptions in compliance with regulations.Maintain continuing education and provide thorough, timely documentation. Candidate Requirements Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Master s in Nursing) REQUIREDCertification by ANCC or AANPCB REQUIREDMinimum 3+ years of cardiac/cardiovascular surgery experience with ICU management OR experience with vein harvesting and first assisting REQUIREDDEA license with full prescriptive authority REQUIREDUnrestricted medical staff membership and privileges REQUIREDBLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) REQUIREDEligible for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursable services REQUIREDNo sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA REQUIREDNot accepting Locums or Locum-to-Perm providersNot visa eligible Schedule & Coverage Full-time, Monday Friday schedule.Mix of ICU management, OR coverage, and outpatient clinics.High-acuity, dynamic cardiothoracic surgical environment.
