This role oversees technologists, technicians, and support staff within the core laboratory, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and related disciplines. The supervisor serves as a technical resource, collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders, and drives continuous quality improvement across all laboratory operations.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervise day-to-day operations of the Core Lab on the day shift, ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable testing.\nProvide technical expertise in core lab disciplines, supporting staff with troubleshooting, instrumentation, and complex test issues.\nOversee staff scheduling, task assignments, productivity, and workflow to meet departmental service goals.\nEnsure compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and all applicable regulatory and safety standards.\nMonitor and maintain quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing programs with timely documentation and corrective actions.\nLead, coach, and support a team of laboratory professionals through training, performance evaluations, and ongoing development.\nCollaborate with leadership on operational planning, budget input, inventory management, and process improvements.\nCoordinate instrument maintenance, validation, and correlation studies in partnership with technical specialists and vendors.\nSupport implementation of new assays, technologies, and workflow optimizations to enhance efficiency and service excellence.\nFoster a culture of patient safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required.\nASCP (or equivalent) certification required.\nMinimum 3–5 years of relevant clinical laboratory experience; previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.\nStrong knowledge of core lab operations, instrumentation, quality systems, and regulatory standards.\nExcellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nOther Benefits:\nEvening shift (Monday - Friday)\nSalary: $66,000 - $133,000\nComprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nPaid Time Off, Long-term and Short-term Disability, Retirement Savings\nHealth Saving Plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts\nCertification and education support\nGenerous Paid Time Off\nAbout Us:\nAt Lighthouse Lab Services, we offer solutions to help start, grow, and run clinical laboratories.
