Bay Area Community Resources VISTA Volunteer
The CHLI AmeriCorps VISTA Hub is recruiting one, full-year AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer to serve with Bay Area Community Resources and Contra Costa MEDS Coalition in El Cerrito, California. Contra Costa MEDS Coalition works to prevent prescription drug-related overdoses, addiction, and crimes through community education and engagement, policy change, and advocacy. The selected candidate will be a part a statewide learning community through PHI Center for Health Leadership and Impact. This community includes support from VISTA Leads and professional development opportunities including workshops, networking events, conferences and other trainings. VISTA Volunteers will be part of a network of over 200 CHLI AmeriCorps alums. This is an in-person position and the selected candidates must live within commuting distance of El Cerrito, California. AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers serve as a key support to coalition leadership and help build local capacity to turn the tide on the overdose epidemic. VISTA volunteers improve operational capacity and build a coordinated response to the overdose epidemic.
