Applicants will enjoy working on an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated appetite for continual learning and development of new technical proficiencies.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, document and maintain signal processing systems and software in support of multiple projects.\nParticipate in technical writing and presentation activities in support of funding proposal efforts and satisfaction of customer reporting requirements.\n\nThe successful candidate will have most or all of these essential skills or abilities:\nMaster’s degree in computer or electrical engineering with background in digital system design and digital signal processing.\n3+ years of relevant industry experience.\nProficiency with VHDL programming language.\nProficiency with Xilinx Vivado design tools including project and non-project design flows.\nFPGA design process automation.\nManagement of FPGA designs with version control tools.\nDevelopment and management of custom IP cores.\nCustomization and utilization of third-party IP cores.\nSystem design using AXI4-MemoryMapped and AXI4-Stream interconnects.\nFamiliarity with timing analysis and timing violation resolution.\nFamiliarity with post-synthesis design simulation and testbench development for validation and verification.\nExperience performing in-circuit debug with internal logic analyzer and virtual input/output.\nProficiency with laboratory test and measurement equipment including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers and digital multimeters.\nDesirable Skills & Abilities:\nApplication experience in wireless digital communications, arbitrary waveform generation, or RF signal processing and analysis.\nC# Windows GUI development with WinForms and WPF.\nC/C++ embedded firmware development.\nPython signal processing and data visualization.\nFamiliarity with Linux operating systems.\nS2 Corporation’s General Employee Requirements:\nThe position includes working on U. S. Government funded projects that involve the handling of controlled unclassified information, requiring the successful candidate to have U. S. Citizenship.\nThis position may include working on defense department funded projects with security restrictions, which may require a security clearance. The successful candidate must be willing and able to apply for a security clearance.\nThe successful candidate will have to pass a preemployment drug test and background check.\nBe able to perform physical tasks around the lab and office spaces such as sitting and standing, each for at least an hour multiple times throughout a day, and occasional lifting of items up to 50lbs.\nAttend required organizational meetings in person or through videoconferencing.\nClear communication of your efforts so that others can reproduce your efforts as needed.\nEfficiently use word processing, spreadsheet, time reporting, procurement and other software.\nAbility to describe technical progress in project deliverable reports.\nAbility to assist in writing funding proposals.\nAbility to interpret general guidelines and work alone for extended periods to efficiently move projects forward.\nAbility, willingness, and availability to travel to field test events up to several times a year, which may include driving company vehicles and working extended hours outside for several days.\nAbility to function as part of a team, that is highly collaborative, cross-functional and multi-disciplinary on multiple projects.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, through in-person conversations, email, and on line in organizational software, such as Microsoft Teams.\nAbility to independently learn and apply new approaches and technologies in order to find solutions to complex problems.\nThe priority date for receiving applications is July 1, 2020, but applications will continue to be considered after this date.
