We are one of the region's largest contractors with plans to keep growing.Day to Day Responsibilities:Lead a crew to install roof systems efficiently and safelyProviding regular coaching, training, evaluation and feedbackInfluence crew to work safely and be disciplined and efficientExamine roof and penetrations to plan jobs, and strategically assign and allocate work to crew membersCommunicate and manage job-specific safety plans prior to the start of every job, conducting job-site audits and making alterations as conditions changePerform installation duties as necessaryMeet production and quality goalsPlan daily work goals to complete jobs on time, striking an appropriate balance between speed and qualityManage work flow of crew and subcontractorsEnsure quality and installation according to specifications and plansKeep projects on budgetSolve field application problems with a minimum amount of supervision, notifying salesperson or supervisor when a specified installation is not possibleManage job sites, equipment and materialsMaintain a jobsite that complies with all safety guidelinesEnforce safety regulations with everyone on a job site, including visitors and customersInspect safety equipment and PPE before use each dayEnsure roofs are safe and watertight at the end of each day, materials and equipment are stored safely and a fire watch is in place if necessaryExhibit exemplary responsiveness and personal leadership with all field and office personnelCommunicate regularly with supervisorSupervise crew time sheetsRecord work performed dailyRequisition materials and keep accurate materials and equipment reportsParticipate in operations and customer meetings as necessary The Ideal Candidate For This Role Is Someone Who:Is forward thinking with the ability to plan what resources are needed to complete a task.Provides excellent customer service and views their co-workers as their customers in addition to external parties.Enjoys teaching others.Can set expectations and hold others accountable.Reliably and consistently produces high quality work. Desired Skills and Experience:Experience using Plangrid or similar project management software preferred.Commercial roofing experience required, foreman experience preferred.OSHA 10 or 30 Hour preferredEmployment Requirements:Must be 18 years of age or older.Must have reliable transportation.Must be eligible for employment in the United States.All candidates must be willing to join union or are currently union members. Physical and Mental Requirements: Must be able to work at heights.Regular lifting up to 75 lbs.Must understand general arithmetic and read and write English at a high school level.Must be able to perform coordinated movements of the limbs including walking, turning, stooping, reaching, carrying, stepping over and around obstacles, and climbing ladders and scaffolding.Must be able to sit, stand, or kneel for extended periods of time.Work Environment:Work is conducted in a construction environment.
