As a critical member of both the design and product development teams, the candidate will bring strong experience in building materials, structural design, and process improvement.\n\nLocation: Brooklyn Center, MN (Onsite) or Remote.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEngineering & Design Leadership: Lead the design and review of aluminum railing, balcony, canopy, and other product offerings from Endurable.\nEnsure all designs comply with building codes, company standards, and industry regulations.\nApply professional judgment for engineering seal applications and provide technical approval for designs.\nAlong with working with other outside engineering firms, EOR of building projects and internal design teams.\nProduct Development & Innovation: Contribute to the development of new products, design methods, and improvements to existing designs.\nEmphasize enhancing product quality, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs through innovation in design and processes.\n\nQuality Control & Compliance\n\nEnsure that all designs meet applicable safety standards and building codes.\nOversee the creation and implementation of testing protocols for materials and truss assemblies, conduct material testing, and ensure compliance with industry standards.\n\nProject Management & Process Improvements:\n\nLead initiatives targeting material\nperformance, quality improvements, and cost reduction. Coordinate with cross-\nfunctional teams to ensure engineering designs are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with project objectives.\n\nTechnical Resource & Troubleshooting\n\nServe as an internal consultant, offering expertise on Endurable building products across a broad range of designs, repairs, and field installations.\n\nCross-Department Collaboration & Customer Interaction:\n\nCollaborate with production teams, customers, and field installation companies to ensure designs are implemented correctly and installations meet quality standards.\n\nReporting & Administrative Duties\n\nPrepare and review technical reports, designs, and correspondence. Maintain up-to-date documentation regarding product designs, testing results, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.\n\nContinuous Learning & Professional Development\n\nRemain informed on industry trends, structural engineering practices, and building codes to maintain innovative, competitive, and compliant product designs.\n\nQualifications:\n\nEducational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.\nLicensure: State registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).\nExperience: Minimum of 5 years in structural design. Experience with timber and aluminum products within the construction industry is preferred.\nTechnical Expertise: Proficiency in engineering software such as GSE™ Aluminum, Dlubal RFEM/RSTAB, or similar design tools. Strong understanding of building codes and ICC standards.\nLeadership & Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers and designers and communicate effectively at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating with clients, colleagues, and external partners.\nProject Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Highly organized with a record of independently managing complex projects.\nAdditional Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other engineering software tools. Demonstrated capability to improve processes and enhance manufacturing efficiencies.\nCommitment to Excellence: Strong focus on continuous improvement, safety, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions to drive operational success.\n\nDesired Skills & Qualities:\n\nAbility to apply engineering principles to manufacturing and installation processes.\nExperience troubleshooting field issues and implementing cost-effective solutions.\nAbility to work in a self-directed, independent manner while remaining highly motivated.\nEagerness to contribute to company goals and improve operational processes.\nSolidWorks knowledge is a plus\n\nSalary Pay Range:\n\nEntry - Level: $55K – $70K\nMid - Level: $70K – $90K\nSenior - Level: $90K – $115K\nPrincipal/Lead: $ 115K – $135K+\n\n*Annually dependent on experience.
