The position may be aligned to Level 2 or Level 3 based on your experience. You'll directly support the availability and security of systems essential to mission operations. US citizenship is required.\n\nResponsibilities\nAdminister, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Linux physical servers and virtual machines.\nMonitor system health and respond to mission-critical alerts, operational issues, and Jira tickets.\nSupport authentication, DNS, shared drives, home directories, and communications across backend environments.\nImplement and maintain STE, STN, DISA STIG, and system security plan compliance requirements.\nAdminister virtualized environments using VMware, Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, or comparable technologies.\nSupport IP networking, firewall rules, and connectivity troubleshooting in coordination with network engineers.\nManage storage systems and arrays such as NetApp and Isilon.\nSupport containerized, cloud, or hyperconverged infrastructure as the environment modernizes.\nAutomate routine administration, compliance, and configuration activities where practical.\nMaintain system documentation and communicate operational status to government and contractor team members.\nQualifications\nProfessional Linux system administration experience appropriate for a Level 2 or Level 3 position.\nExperience applying DISA STIGs and supporting STE, STN, or comparable secure-system compliance activities.\nExperience administering VMware, Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, or similar virtualization technologies.\nWorking knowledge of IP networking, firewalls, DNS, authentication, and shared-storage services.\nExperience supporting physical and virtual infrastructure in an operational environment.\nCurrent certification meeting DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II requirements.\nActive TS/SCI with polygraph-level clearance.\nCandidates must meet the applicable education and experience requirements for the assigned System Administrator 2 or System Administrator 3 labor category.\nDesired Skills\nExperience with Ansible, Salt, or comparable automation and configuration-management tools.\nScripting experience using Bash, Python, Perl, or a comparable language.\nExperience administering NetApp, Isilon, or other enterprise storage platforms.\nExperience with Harvester, Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex, or other hyperconverged platforms.\nExperience supporting containers or cloud-enabled infrastructure.\n\n___________________________________________________________________\n\nThe pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
