You will lead daily completion of work to include scheduling and assisting with deliveries, performing routing functions and partnering with the Supervisor to address and resolve any issues.\n\nIn this role, you will transport products safely and deliver office supplies on your assigned route to customers. You will manage the routes for Drivers in the building.\n\nAt times, depending on volume, you will load vehicles. You will organize and load product for delivery utilizing the manifest assuring the most efficient delivery route and schedule.\n\nSafety is our utmost priority so, in this role, we will look to you to ensure safe work practices and embrace and foster our safety culture.\n\nYou will be a problem solver for our customers; providing customer support, accepting product returns and will be empowered to make your customers' day. You’re our brand on wheels!\n\nIn your role as a leader, you will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.\n\nWhat you bring to the table:\n\nAn ability to be a safe and courteous driver who can navigate your way around a map and all kinds of weather and road conditions.\nAn ability to make sound decisions, be it driving, parking, safety related and/or customer interaction related.\nAn ability to learn and utilize software applications including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office-specifically Word and Excel.\nAn ability to use technology including GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices.\nA personal commitment to your growth and development.\nAn ability to bring new ideas that add efficiency and opportunities to grow the business.\nAn inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issues.\nAn ability and willingness to maintain cleanliness of vehicle including performing pre-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance concerns.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nMust have a valid drivers’ license with a driving record indicating a safe driving history acceptable to the company and at all times remain eligible to drive a commercial motor vehicle under applicable laws and regulations.\nAbility to pass a DOT physical and drug screen (No THC) to the extent legally permissible.\nMust obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role.\nBasic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).\nFull-Time associates must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business needs.\nAbility to lift up to 70lbs, push and pull items weighing up to 400 lbs with the assistance of hand carts/material handling equipment, and occasionally maneuver up to 130 lbs.\nMust wear safety composite shoes.\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nHigh school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum 1-year of truck driving experience (operating a 16ft or longer straight truck) or comparable driving experience.\nHigh volume / small package delivery experience.\n\nWe Offer:\n\nCompetitive Pay: $23.95-$26.20/hour Based on Experience + $1.00/hour Shift Differential\nAbility to earn additional compensation through our Safety program.\nReceive a pair of work shoes after 30 days.\nInclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups.\nStaples offers both Full-Time and Part-Time benefits.
