This position works with access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and other physical security technologies.\nThe ideal candidate is technically capable, mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in the field. This role requires the ability to understand security system architecture, diagnose system issues, read drawings and wiring diagrams, and effectively communicate technical information to customers and project teams.\nWhat You'll Actually Do\nInstall, configure, program, test, troubleshoot, and service electronic security systems.\nWork with access control, video surveillance/CCTV, intrusion detection, intercom, and related security technologies.\nInstall and terminate low-voltage cabling, power supplies, readers, locks, cameras, sensors, control panels, network devices, and other system components.\nConfigure and troubleshoot security system hardware and software.\nPerform system commissioning, testing, and customer demonstrations.\nDiagnose equipment, wiring, communication, network, and programming issues.\nRead and interpret project drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and system documentation.\nPerform preventive maintenance and respond to service calls.\nIdentify system deficiencies and recommend appropriate repairs or upgrades.\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, sales personnel, customers, and other technicians to resolve technical issues.\nDocument service activities, system changes, programming, and customer recommendations accurately.\nMaintain accurate records of installed equipment, system configurations, and service work.\nEnsure installations and service work comply with applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and Tech Electronics standards.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.\nProvide professional customer service and represent Tech Electronics positively at customer locations.\nMaintain current knowledge of security technologies, products, networking concepts, and industry practices.\nParticipate in training and certification programs as required.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe value attitude, aptitude, work ethic, and technical problem-solving ability.
