Here are the job details for your review:Job Title: Industrial EngineerLocation: Houston TX 77043Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)Shift Hours: Normal business hoursDescription/Position Summary:Industrial Engineer – Supplier Production SystemsYou will work on strengthening the industrial maturity of Company's global supply base, particularly in high-complexity manufacturing environments.Your day-to-day work spans deep, focused engagement on critical topics such as capacity, production stability, and system robustness, as well as collaboration with teams to scale proven approaches.You will partner closely with cross-functional teams across the company, enabling and guiding supplier improvement efforts broadly, and providing targeted hands-on support for priority situations as needed.This role focuses on supplier production systems and capability building rather than site-based Industrial Engineering support or day-to-day quality escalation.You will operate across regions and cultures as part of day-to-day work, engaging effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders across different organizational contexts.Your work directly impacts supplier capability, execution predictability, and the long-term resilience of the company's supply chain.How You'll Make an ImpactImprove supplier production systems by diagnosing constraints, stability issues, and capability gaps, and driving targeted improvement actions, covering topics such as capacity modelling, bottleneck/constraint analysis, flow and lead-time improvement, and KPI definition/operating routinesProactively evolve supplier capabilities, including production technologies and manufacturing methods, alongside capacity and system robustnessTranslate the company's enterprise priorities into sequenced supplier development initiativesConvert hands-on improvement experience into standard work, playbooks, and training that scale across the organizationOperate effectively in matrix organizations through sustained influence and technical credibilityBalance selective hands-on execution with broader enablement through structured methods and guidanceExperience:What You BringDegree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechanical EngineeringSignificant professional experience delivering measurable improvements in production systems, operations, or supplier capability in high-complexity industrial environmentsStrong analytical skills and comfort using data, analytics, and emerging digital/AI-based tools to support decisions and performance discussionsAbility to document methods clearly and enable others through coaching and trainingAbility to operate effectively in matrix organizations through collaboration and influenceWillingness to travel internationally up to 40% (travel varies by supplier priorities and project phase)Education:Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
