Employees will provide IDS technical experience to assist the FAA in coordinating development and implementation activities with air traffic requirements and operations personnel.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProvide expert analysis to the FAA to support the development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, and Capital Investment Plan projects.\n\nProvide expert analysis to the FAA to help identify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and report the resolution of implementation issues generated by Capital Investment Plan projects.\n\nCoordinating support for required technical interchange meeting support and various program reviews.\n\nAssisting with requirements verification and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control tools and systems.\n\nAssisting E-IDS System Engineering in defining new Legacy IDS interfaces.\n\nAssisting with identifying potential inconsistencies and usability issues as they relate to any ATC system changes.\n\nSystem/ subsystem specifications analysis to ensure air traffic operational concerns are addressed and assuring all technical requirements are included.\n\nPresenting recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements.\n\nDemonstrate subject matter expertise in air traffic equipment, facilities, terminology and technology to business case and Investment, Planning, and Analysis teams.\n\nCoordinating Local Data Administration activities including developing ATC and Technical operations display screens and the collection/uploading of local static information, e.g. Local procedures, Frequency lists, first responder information, etc.\n\nAssisting in training requirements development.\n\nSupport troubleshooting of locally developed display screens.\n\nClassifying and summarizing data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis.\n\nCommunicate complex knowledge of air traffic control to diverse audiences and in a manner that supports a wide range of analysis.\n\nInterfacing with user teams, system engineers and other program personnel, as necessary.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nLegacy IDS Technical understanding, system engineering, development, system integration and test experience.\n\nExperience in building legacy IDS databases.\n\nExperience in troubleshooting legacy IDS operational issues.\n\nAcquisition and program management experience for FAA program offices or similar organizations is required for Level II and above positions.\n\nSuccessfully pass an FAA background investigation/verification and receive a successful final suitability determination.\n\nU.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident who has resided in the U.S. for 3+ years.\n\nAbility to obtain FAA Suitability.\n\nTravel will vary per project.
