Job Title: Service Dispatcher Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional overtime during peak seasons) Pay Range: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour Join a Team That Keeps Service Running Smoothly Ranger HeatingCooling is seeking a highly organized Service Dispatcher who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating people, schedules, and service operations. Our dispatcher plays a critical role in ensuring our technicians are scheduled efficiently and customers receive timely service. This position acts as the communication hub between customers, technicians, and the service department, helping keep daily operations running smoothly. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive, calm under pressure, and able to manage multiple priorities throughout the day. What You'll Do Coordinate Daily Technician Schedules Dispatch technicians to service calls based on urgency, location, and skill set Monitor technician schedules throughout the day and adjust as needed Ensure jobs are assigned efficiently to maximize productivity and response time Maintain clear communication with technicians regarding job details and updates Manage Incoming Service Requests Answer inbound calls and assist customers with scheduling service appointments Gather accurate information about customer issues to properly schedule calls Confirm appointments and ensure all job details are entered correctly in the system Communicate expected arrival times and service updates to customers Support Service Operations Track technician progress throughout the day and adjust schedules when needed Communicate job status updates between technicians and customers Enter and update service orders, notes, and customer records Assist with coordinating emergency calls and priority service requests Maintain Communication Across the Team Serve as the central point of communication between office staff and field technicians Relay important customer details and job information to technicians Help ensure service calls are completed efficiently and documented properly What Success Looks Like in This Role Top Dispatchers in this position are known for: Strong organizational and scheduling skills Clear and professional communication with both customers and technicians Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy service periods Staying calm and solution-focused when schedules change Attention to detail with job information and service records Supporting technicians and helping the team operate efficiently Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of dispatching, scheduling, or customer service experience in an office environment Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly Positive attitude and strong work ethic Reliability and consistent attendance Preferred Qualifications Experience dispatching technicians in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or home services Experience with service scheduling or route management Familiarity with CRM or dispatch platforms (ServiceTitan or similar) Experience working in a high-volume service environment Strong ability to coordinate multiple technicians and job priorities Why Top Performers Choose Ranger HeatingCooling Stable, year-round work in an essential industry Professional and supportive team environment Opportunity to grow within the company Fast-paced workday that stays engaging A role where your coordination directly impacts service quality and customer satisfaction
