This role contributes to the development of next-generation noninvasive monitoring solutions through data analysis, modeling, experimentation, and cross-functional engineering collaboration. The position reports to the Manager, Algorithm – AI/Machine Learning and is part of the R&D Algorithm Engineering department located in Irvine, CA and will be an on-site role.\r\nIn This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:Design, develop, implement, test, and optimize signal processing and physiological measurement algorithms for medical device applications.\r\nAnalyze physiological and clinical data sets to evaluate algorithm performance, accuracy, robustness, and reliability.\r\nSupport development activities across the algorithm lifecycle, including concept development, feasibility analysis, prototyping, verification, validation, and product integration.\r\nCollaborate with software, hardware, systems, clinical, and quality engineering teams to support product development initiatives.\r\nParticipate in clinical data collection activities, experimental design, and analysis of human subject study data.\r\nThe Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:B.S. Degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or a related technical field.\r\n3+ years of related engineering experience in algorithm development, signal processing, biomedical engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline within the medical device industry.\r\nExperience with digital signal processing, statistical analysis, optimization methods, and numerical modeling.\r\nStrong programming and software development skills using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar technical computing languages.\r\nExperience analyzing large data sets and developing data-driven solutions.\r\nIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Experience developing algorithms for biomedical, physiological, wearable, or medical device applications.\r\nFamiliarity with machine learning, AI, or advanced data analytics techniques.\r\nUnderstanding of human physiology and biomedical signal acquisition methods.\r\nUnderstanding of embedded systems and software development principles.\r\nExperience working within regulated environments such as FDA, ISO 13485, or IEC 62304.\r\nMasimo, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
