The Network Infrastructure Architect will supervise and mentor our Network Administrators, ensuring that network changes and regional operations follow established standards.\nOur network includes fiber, fixed wireless, cable, carrier transport, tower infrastructure, and core routing systems across multiple states. The ideal candidate combines advanced ISP network engineering experience with the ability to translate growth plans into scalable, resilient, and financially sound network designs.\nThis position is based in Las Vegas and requires regular in-office work, field visits, and travel to multi-state network locations.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nDevelop and maintain a scalable, resilient architecture for Stimulus Technologies’ ISP networks.\nDesign and strategize network layouts for new fiber deployments, network expansions, and acquired systems.\nEstablish technical standards for core, distribution, access, transport, and customer-edge networks.\nLead major infrastructure projects from initial design through implementation and operational handoff.\nSupervise, mentor, and establish priorities for Network Administrators.\nImprove network reliability, redundancy, capacity, and operating efficiency.\nEnsure regional networks follow consistent configurations, documentation, security, and monitoring standards.\nProvide senior escalation support for complex outages and performance issues.\nIdentify the root causes of recurring incidents and implement permanent corrective actions.\nSupport technical due diligence and network integration associated with acquisitions and new markets.\nDevelop network capacity plans based on customer growth, bandwidth utilization, and future service requirements.\nEvaluate equipment, software, carriers, and technology vendors.\nMaintain accurate network diagrams, design documentation, IP address plans, standards, and change records.\nCollaborate with construction, operations, field services, customer service, finance, and executive leadership.\nPrepare technical plans, project requirements, budgets, and recommendations for leadership.\nParticipate in an after-hours escalation rotation for critical network incidents.\n\nRequired Skills and Experience\nAt least 10 years of progressive networking experience.\nSignificant senior-level engineering or architecture experience within an ISP, telecommunications carrier, or comparable service-provider environment.\nAdvanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, IPv4, IPv6, QoS, multicast, network security, and high-availability design.\nExperience designing core, distribution, access, and transport networks.\nExperience developing network strategies and layouts for large fiber deployments.\nUnderstanding of fiber route planning, backbone design, aggregation, redundancy, capacity planning, and service-area architecture.\nExperience with fixed-wireless and licensed or unlicensed wireless infrastructure.\nDemonstrated success leading major network deployments or migrations.\nExperience supervising, mentoring, or providing technical direction to network engineering personnel.\nAbility to analyze complex problems, make sound decisions, and clearly communicate recommendations.\nStrong project-management and documentation skills.\nAbility to balance technical performance, scalability, deployment schedules, and cost.\nAvailability for after-hours escalations and emergency outages.\nAbility and willingness to travel to multi-state network locations.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Juniper, Nokia, Cisco, Arista, Calix, or similar service-provider platforms.\nExperience with network-monitoring, mapping, configuration-management, and IP-address-management systems.\nExperience integrating newly acquired or previously independent networks.\nExperience with outside-plant fiber design, GIS platforms, optical transport, GPON/XGS-PON, and carrier interconnection.\nRelevant certifications from Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, CompTIA, or comparable organizations.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
