Obtain authorized signature for supplies requested.\nServices truck with oil, fuel and radiator fluid to maintain tractor-trailer.\nObtains customer’s signature for goods delivered and delivery charges.\nInventories and inspects goods to be moved.\nWraps goods using pads, packing paper, and containers, and secures load to trailer wall using straps.\nDrives tractor-trailer combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products.\nManeuvers truck into loading or unloading position, following signals from loading crew as needed.\nEnsures truck is equipped with safety equipment and performs safety checks.\nRead maps and plan trips.\nMaintains driver log according to I.C.C. regulations, Abacus reporting and any other administrative duties needed for the position.\nMaintain forklift license and CDL endorsement as well as being insurable.\nAssist in maintaining truck to ensure it is mechanically safe to drive, keep truck clean and neat, and ensure trailer is kept in working condition.\nLoad and Unload trucks in warehouse with forklift.\nRepresent the company in a positive manner to all customers.\nOther duties and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.\nRequirements:\n\nQualifications:\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be insurable as driver.\n\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.\n\nWork Environment:\n\nThe work environment involves moderate risks requiring special safety precautions (i.e. working around moving parts or machines, and utilization of pallet jacks/tools in material handling). The work environment requires safe work practices and the adherence to general safety regulations.\n\nPhysical Demands:\n\nThe work requires some physical exertion such as prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, recurring bending, reaching and recurring lifting of objects up to 50-75 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Fingering, grasping and feeling. Talking, hearing and repetitive motion. Very heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and of constant moving objects. Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, safe operation, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures. Subject to noise. Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, and climbing.
