SAP experience is helpful.\nFamiliar with traffic regulations and load restrictions.\nAble to read, write, add, and subtract and to follow written or verbal instructions.\nFlexibility to work in a variety of weather conditions\nCustomer service experience.\n\nYour Work:\nOperate standard factory-equipped diesel straight truck and tractor with roll-off trailers, dump trailers and van trailers to pick-up a variety of steel products and accessory items from Gerdau steel suppliers.\nFollow standard or prescribed methods or procedures. Work involves a complete range of duties, somewhat repetitive and routine in nature, requiring considerable care to drive tractor/trailer vehicle in a correct and safe manner, properly loading of trucks, and compliance with all DOT laws, rules, and regulations.\nGood working conditions in closed truck cab free from weather elements except in occasional unloading. Subject to some noise, vibration, and fumes, but none to the extent of being disagreeable.\nMake deliveries and/or pick-ups, operating from verbal, written or electronic instructions, invoices, bills of lading, shipping tickets, etc.\nKeep accurate and legible records such as Driver’s Trip Reports, Driver’s Daily Log, Vehicle Inspection Report, and Driver’s Weekly Expense Report.\nMaintain polite, courteous, and diplomatic relations with either customers, receivers, or suppliers with whom contact is made. May be required to contact the supplier for location/placement of roll-off bin.\nAssist loading or unloading; unload without help as necessary; tie down the load with chains or cinches; attach markers for overhang.\nLight physical effort consisting of continuous light exertion in driving, frequent effort in tying down the loads, and assisting unloading.\nContinuous mental and visual attention in coordinating a good degree of manual dexterity with close visual attention for sustained periods.\nClean vehicle on a regular basis.\nSalary & Benefits:\nMedical and Prescription\nDental\nVision\n401K\nBasic Life/Accidental Life Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program\nTuition Reimbursement Program\nGerdau believes in equal employment opportunity related to all employees and applicants for employment.
