We're looking for a backend-leaning full-stack engineer to join our small team and own meaningful work from day one.What you'll doOwn features end to end: scope, design, build, ship, and monitorCollaborate with teammates and operations staff on larger effortsBuild backend services and partner-facing APIsBuild and improve the web interfaces our staff and users rely onBuild AI-powered automation for internal workflows, with the guardrails and human review around itMigrate data and logic from legacy systems without disrupting live operationsMake good technical decisions on your own and keep work moving without waiting for directionWhat we're looking for3+ years of professional software engineering with a strong backend focus, ideally TypeScript/Node or PythonSolid frontend skills with a modern framework like React or Next.jsProduction experience designing and operating APIs (auth, idempotency, retries, observability)Strong relational database and data migration skillsHands-on experience building with AI tooling (LLM APIs, prompt design, tool use, or agent workflows), ideally in Python, and sound judgment about where AI needs checksA track record of owning work from idea to production, and of collaborating well when the work is sharedComfort with ambiguity, a fast pace, and clear written communication in a remote teamBonus pointsShipped AI features in productionDevOps experience (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, deployment automation)Fintech, lending, or mortgage experienceStartup or small-team backgroundIf you'd rather ship and iterate than wait for a perfect spec, and you enjoy teaming up when the work calls for it, we'd love to hear from you.
