The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java/J2EE, Spring ecosystem, REST APIs, front-end web technologies, CI/CD, and distributed systems and a proven ability to design, build, and optimize large-scale, high-performance enterprise applications while leading and mentoring developers.Responsibilities:Lead design and development of complex Java-based, full-stack applications.Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with Technology teams.Drive architecture decisions and technical direction for scalable, resilient solutions.Perform code reviews, enforce standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.Collaborate with product owners, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver features.Build developer tooling and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase delivery quality and speed.Coordinate with stakeholders including offshore teams and manage risks and technical challenges.Required Skills & Qualifications:8-10+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer building robust, scalable applications using Object-Oriented Design.Core Java expertise including multithreading and concurrent programming.Spring ecosystem: Core, Boot, Integration, Batch, JDBC, Hibernate/JPA, Microservices.Web technologies: HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs; exposure to modern front-end frameworks.Databases: Oracle or other RDBMS, plus NoSQL such as MongoDB; strong SQL skills.Linux proficiency including shell scripting and operational fundamentals.SDLC/DevOps: GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, JIRA, secure coding toolkits, CI/CD practices.Agile development with emphasis on test-driven development and quality practices.Leadership capability to coach developers and operate with minimal supervision.Preferred Skills:Experience with React JS or Angular for enterprise UI development.Background in financial services or banking and experience with automated testing.Knowledge of event-driven architecture, JMS, and distributed systems performance tuning.Familiarity with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and agentic AI concepts.
