Billing/Payroll (EVV) Coordinator
About the job Self-Direct, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/Billing (EVV) Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring accurate weekly payroll processing, timely healthcare billing, and full compliance with New York State DOH Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) guidelines. You will serve as a reliable point of contact for employees and clients while supporting the broader mission of the individuals and families we serve. Key Responsibilities Payroll • Verify office e-timesheets, PTO requests, and related documentation weekly • Assist with weekly payroll submission workflows under direction of the Payroll & Billing Manager • Distribute live checks and pay stubs to employees on a weekly basis • Add and remove employees from payroll; maintain related payroll reports • Maintain eligibility records for raises, benefits, and payroll-related matters • Field employee payroll inquiries and escalate complex issues as appropriate • Assist with outside wage verifications and routine payroll reporting EVV Compliance & Quality Assurance • Ensure EVV records are obtained and maintained per NYS DOH EVV guidelines • Perform weekly pre-billing audits on EVV records for accuracy and completeness • Educate field staff on proper EVV procedures and provide necessary tools and support • Report EVV compliance trends to supervisor and recommend corrective actions • Enforce SDI's EVV Disciplinary process and maintain related records • Respond promptly to all EVV and billing inquiries across all communication channels Accounts Receivable & Billing • Review, rework, and track all claims and invoices on a weekly basis • Receive, sort, and post incoming receivables; contact clients or contracted parties as needed • Manage account statuses and balances; assist with credit card and EFT transactions • Serve as a point of contact for client billing issues and inquiries • Identify improvement areas using data and reports; monitor unpaid or underpaid claims • Report billing errors to supervisor and compliance department prior to corrected billing Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree preferred; OR • High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in billing, accounts receivable, payroll, or healthcare compliance Skills & Attributes • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills • Exceptional integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently • Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor • Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm under pressure • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite • Familiarity with billing software, EVV platforms, payroll systems, and healthcare claims processing preferred Compensation & Benefits $48,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays • 401(k) retirement plan Ready to make an impact?
