We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Diet Tech to join our team at Riverview Manor, a 77-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in Owego, New York. Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and snacks for our residents
Monitor and record resident food intake, identifying any potential issues or concerns
Maintain accurate records of inventory, ordering, and financial transactions related to food and supplies
Collaborate with the dietary department to plan and prepare special diets and provide nutrition education to residents
Ensure adherence to all dietary regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
Participate in maintaining a clean and organized dietary department, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
0-1 year of experience in dietetics, culinary arts, or related field (new graduates welcome to apply)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills and familiarity with dietary software
