This role ensures compliant coding, appropriate reimbursement, and adherence to federal, state, and payer regulations. The coder works closely with physicians, clinical staff, billing teams, and compliance personnel to support revenue integrity and audit readiness.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssign accurate CPT®, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes for cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures\nApply correct modifiers in accordance with payer and regulatory guidelines\nReview operative reports, procedure notes, and supporting documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness\nEnsure compliance with CMS, NCCI, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer rules specific to ASC and outpatient services\nIdentify documentation deficiencies and query providers when clarification is required\nSupport charge capture processes and resolve coding-related denials or rejections\nParticipate in internal and external audits, including responding to audit findings and implementing corrective actions\nStay current with coding updates, CPT changes, payer policies, and regulatory requirements related to cardiovascular and IR coding\nCollaborate with billing, compliance, and revenue cycle teams to optimize reimbursement while maintaining compliance\nMaintain productivity and accuracy standards as defined by the organization\nRequired Qualifications\nASC–CIRCC (Certified Interventional & Cardiovascular Coder – Ambulatory Surgery Center) certification required\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred)\nMinimum of 2–3 years of hands-on coding experience in cardiovascular and/or interventional radiology coding\nStrong knowledge of CPT®, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifier usage\nFamiliarity with ASC billing and outpatient reimbursement methodologies\nUnderstanding of NCCI edits, MUEs, and payer-specific coding guidelines\nPreferred Qualifications\nAdditional coding credentials (CPC, CCS, or equivalent)\nExperience with electronic health records (EHR) and coding/billing software\nPrior experience in an ASC or hospital outpatient department\nAudit or compliance experience related to cardiovascular or IR coding\nSkills and Competencies\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to interpret complex operative reports\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities\nCommitment to ethical coding and compliance standards\nWork Environment\nRemote Position\nStandard business hours with potential deadlines tied to billing cycles\nFULL TIME BENEFITS\nEmployer sponsored Major Medical\nEmployer sponsored Dental\nEmployer sponsored Vision\nAccidental Death and Disability insurance\nShort term disability\n4.5% 401K matching\nFlexible spending account\nGenerous paid time off\nThis is a remote position.\n\n**Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
