This is a 1-year contract hybrid role. Our client is seeking an Engineer with strong project management capabilities to support our Energy Supply Projects team. While the title is E&C Engineer , this position functions primarily as a Project Engineer/Project Manager supporting capital improvement projects across our client's energy generating facilities in Colorado. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the reliability of power generation assets by managing a portfolio of capital projects from concept through execution. The ideal candidate combines an engineering background with strong project management skills. The candidate will report to the manager.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage multiple capital projects across power generation facilities from initiation through completion.\n\nOversee emergent capital projects while supporting larger base and major capital initiatives.\n\nCollaborate with Operations, Reliability Engineering, Maintenance, and Plant Leadership to identify project opportunities and reliability improvements.\n\nDevelop project scopes, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, and justification documents.\n\nCoordinate project planning, execution, and closeout activities.\n\nManage contractors, vendors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.\n\nSupport procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, bidding, and vendor selection.\n\nCoordinate equipment deliveries, material management, and installation activities.\n\nMonitor project budgets and schedules to ensure successful project delivery.\n\nAttend daily plant planning meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize critical work.\n\nUtilize existing plant drawings and documentation through ProjectWise and related systems.\n\nEnsure safe and efficient project execution in an operating power plant environment.\n\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline).\n\nMinimum of 2 years of engineering, project engineering, or project management experience.\n\nExperience managing projects from initiation through completion.\n\nExperience working in industrial, manufacturing, utility, energy, plant, or similar operational environments.\n\nDemonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project deliverables.\n\nOur Safety Pledge to You:\nIf you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
