The East Bay offers an excellent quality of life with top-rated schools, a pleasant climate, and easy access to both mountains and the coast. Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply .\n\nYou’ll make a difference by:\n\nAdvocate for a Zero Harm safety culture that protects the safety of Siemens’ employees, subcontractors, and customers.\n\nRegularly assist with safety training for employees.\n\nImprove employee and management EHS awareness while helping to improve safe work standards and practices.\n\nAnalyze and maintain EHS data and prepare regular EHS regulatory compliance reporting.\n\nProvide technical guidance to employees regarding environmental, health and safety related issues or concerns, and regulatory compliance.\n\nParticipate and assist in audit activities including identification of EHS issues and implementation of corrective actions.\n\nSupport EHS incident investigations, including tracking and record-keeping requirements.\n\nCollaborate with site EHS Manager who will provide direct support.\n\nMaintain knowledge with all respective regulations and standards in regional or local law.\n\nYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\n\nTwo (2) or more years’ experience in a technical EHS role focusing on Safety and Environmental Compliance.\n\nProven understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations and industry EHS standards.\n\nAbility to recognize, evaluate, and recommend controls for workplace hazards.\n\nExperience working with cross-functional teams, union workforce, and leading the achievement of EHS targets and objectives.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.\n\nEffective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to handle multiple projects/tasks and work independently with minimal direction.\n\nAbility to work with all levels of the organization.\n\nLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field.\n\nStrong writing capabilities, especially with writing clear, concise EHS procedures.\n\nExperience working with ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, and Document Management System Standards.\n\nOSHA 30 or CAL/OSHA 30 or equivalent.\n\nAbout Siemens:\nWe are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare.
