{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"34ef7facefcefdaa9f84cc05","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/34ef7facefcefdaa9f84cc05","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/34ef7facefcefdaa9f84cc05","title":"Engineering Technician (C2, CAC2S)","description":"Job Description:\n\nTMC Technologies is seeking an Engineering Technician V to support the Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) and Small Form Factor (SFF) Program located aboard Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, Indiana.\n\nNote, this position is located onsite at customer facilities in Bedford, Indiana or aboard NSWC Crane, Indiana.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nSupport engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of Marine Corps weapon systems and subsystems which may include computer systems, radio sets, power distribution systems, tactical software, etc.\nWork from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.\nPerform system software installation and modifications for various platforms.\nAssist with development and reviews of technical documentation (e.g., operator manuals, maintenance manuals, plans, procedures, et. al.) for Marine Corps or Navy systems.\nCollect, maintain, organize, compile, and manipulate technical data.\nCommunicate with leadership, other members of the team, and the customer to ensure a common understanding of requirements, status, action items, issues, etc.\nPerform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nRequired Experience and Qualifications:\n\nPrevious CAC2S experience as a Marine Corps 5974 or 5979.\nSecurity + Certification is preferred, or is willing to obtain within four months of hire.\nFamiliarity with reading 2D engineering drawings and technical manuals to locate parts or components by part number or find number, or by tracing up or down through assemblies.\nMechanically inclined: experienced and comfortable with disassembling and assembling computer, radio, and power distribution subsystems.
