{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"34d23db21e444e2bcfaea0f7","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/34d23db21e444e2bcfaea0f7","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/34d23db21e444e2bcfaea0f7","title":"Procurement Agent","description":"Procurement Agent\nDirect Hire, W-2\nTorrance, CA - Onsite\nSalary range is $31.25 - $34.80 an hr\nDuties:\nWorking in a team environment, provide superior customer service by processing purchase orders in a timely manner, maintaining a stable supply from existing and/or new vendors through the proper evaluation of material requirements in both finished goods and components to meet zero shipping delay due to operations.\nAccurately and timely process all purchase orders, Special Delivery Requests, orders, parts requests from factories and supplies;\nAccurately and timely process EDI orders to factory;\nAccurately and timely process LDR.\nAccurately and timely schedule manufacturing orders for production;\nCommunicate with factories (vendors) to plan shipping (production) schedules in timely manner.\nMonitor and record invoices and order received dates, and process the required documents timely;\nMonitor freight forwarder performance, analyze problems, communicate information to forwarders and negotiate improvements as appropriate;\nMaintain optimal inventory to prevent stock shortage;\nReview daily market and contract inventory usage and order replenishment by cut-off time;\nIdentify Material Control problems at an early stage and communicate findings to Supervisor along with corrective action or recommendations;\nConsult with supervision on material management decisions outside of standard operating procedures;\nPrepare and work with other departments for monthly inventory and obsolete;\nCommunicate sales department about any delays/changes in customer orders;\nProcess customs activities (ex. preparing HTS codes, preparing and submitting 10+2 data).\nPerform other tasks and special projects as needed.\nLearn new system and raise improvement ideas as needed.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job function on site and communicate with other associates and supervisors effectively.
