U.S. Sales DirectorJob DescriptionReporting to: Vice President of SalesDirector of Sales Responsibilities:Customer centric and ready to respond to customer needs, requirements, and problems in accordance with company policyFull accountability for sales pipeline, sales execution and directs sales team to achieve/exceed the company and regional sales objectivesHires, develops, and manages sales staff, inclusive of succession plan and developing talent of the existing teamUnderstanding of medical device development and/or bioprocess marketGMP and ISO standards related to the medical device and bioprocess marketsAbility to develop and execute and monitor strategic growth plans which include:Territory mapping and alignmentsForecasting data and trend analysisMonthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectivesCommunicate results, strategies and tactical plans with executive management and other internal stakeholdersLead, motivate and manage team to maximize customer relationships and loyaltyLead Inside Sales approachCoordinate Outside Sales effortsResearch and qualify target companies for proactive selling eventsOrganize and lead sales meetings to assess company and individual performanceEstablish sales training program(s) to train employees on policies, procedures, products and for individual "personal growth"Drive key behavior compliance with Qosina systems and CRM toolsMonitors incoming customer request activity to ensure timely and accurate responses/actionSupports sales representative to conduct customer business reviewsPerforms all required administrative functions, i.e., monthly reports, correspondence with sales personnel, customers, expense reporting, etcCollaborates with marketing on projects that affect sales activityMust embody the Company's Vision, Mission, and ValuesOther duties may be assignedDirector of Sales Requirements:Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant fieldProven experience in sales with strong demonstrated resultsMinimum of 3 years' experience as a sales director or 5 years' experience managing sales teamIn-depth knowledge of medical device marketing and sales techniques and best practices preferredExcellent organizational skills with capacity to manage various projects and work to meet customer deadlines.Excellent diplomacy/negotiation and leadership skills.Strong work ethic with collaborative attitudeOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, including excellent presentation skillsComfortable interacting and presenting to Executive team and Board membersMust be able to travel domestically by air and car and work occasional weekends. Travel up to 50%.Requires excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.Computer skills in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite of products, Word, Excel, and Power Point and deep understanding of CRM systems.Understanding of and adherence to GMPs (and/or ISO standards) is required when in facility.
