Maintenance facilities typically operate on a three-shift basis to ensure that maintenance on equipment is completed; testes and inspections of products, services and process to evaluate quality or performance of that equipment is accomplished; and specifications are met to DOT, client or company standards. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\nKey Responsibilities:\nHire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians\nApprove priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operations\nCoordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors\nEnsure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently\nManage inventory\nImplement safety policies and procedures for the department per corporate requirements\nParticipate in the development and administration of the operational budget\nIdentify opportunities for improving service delivery methods\nOther duties as required.\nTravel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent):\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent\n7 years+ experience in the repair and maintenance of alltypes of heavy-duty automotive and transit equipment\n3 years+ of supervisory experience\nBroad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy-duty transportation vehicles\nFamiliarity with laws & regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilities\nProficient with Microsoft Office\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nAvailable to work shifts and flexible work schedules as needed.\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\nThe employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.\nWork environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
