The firm's family law practice provides a full range of services, from comprehensive representation to limited-scope services. We utilize various approaches to resolve disputes including mediation, collaborative divorce, and litigation when necessary.Our office is part of The Colab Suites, located in the Edina Centennial Lakes Office Park complex offering free parking and exceptional amenities.Role:We are seeking a full-time family law attorney to work onsite in Edina, MN. Work schedule is flexible with occasional hybrid option.Our staff works as a team on all family law cases to promote a supportive work environment and the best possible strategies and efficiencies for each client.Qualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school and active license (in good standing) to practice law in Minnesota.Experience in family law, with the ability to interpret and apply Minnesota statutes, rules, and case law.Ability to analyze complex legal issues, provide clear legal advice, and develop strategic case plans tailored to each client.Ability to draft and argue motions, including temporary relief, discovery, custody, parenting time, support, and related family law matters.Familiarity preparing clients, witnesses, and other professionals for mediation, hearings and trials.Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with strong attention to detail and professionalism in all client and court communications.Ability to manage a client caseload independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, working collaboratively with other firm attorneys and paralegals.Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, client-centered service, and respectful, non-adversarial approaches when appropriate (e.g., mediation, collaborative law).Prior experience in family law practice in Minnesota is essential; courtroom and mediation experience strongly preferred.Able to follow incremental time tracking procedures and documentation on a daily basis.Compensation Range: commensurate with experience; starting $110,000 – $130,000Benefits Package: Paid vacation and holiday time; medical, dental, vision, long-term and life insurance; retirement investing, continuing education, and paid professional fees.To learn more, visit: www.bvlfirm.com
