{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"348a8e242715e6926e293011","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/348a8e242715e6926e293011","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/348a8e242715e6926e293011","title":"Paramedic Basic","description":"Job Description:\n\nJob Title: Paramedic Basic\n\nReports To: Field Operations Supervisor\n\nStatus: Full-Time\n\nFLSA Status: Non Exempt\n\nHIGHLIGHTS:\n\nThe Paramedic responds to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and delivers high quality patient care, treatment, and customer service in the most expedient, professional, safe, caring, and cost effective manner possible within the prescribed scope of practice, established protocols and Company policies.\n\nVarious shift types available, overtime built into every shift configuration. Opportunities to work on a Critical Care Transport unit as well as multiple Special Events throughout Los Aneles County. Events include professional Baseball, Hockey, Football, Soccer and Basketball.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nParamedics assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol.\nUtilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.\nDevelop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.\nProvide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.\nCommunicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information.\nCommunicate with patient and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given, and to show compassion.\nAct as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.\nDocument activities with regard to patient care and billing completely to ensure appropriate information is available regarding each call.\nRead medication/prescription labels and directions for usage in quick, accurate, and expedient manner.\nCommunicate verbally with patients and significant others in various environments to interview patient, family members, and bystanders.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nCA Drivers' License\nAmbulance Driver's License (from DMV) must obtain Medical Examiners prior to ADL.\nK4 report (Driving Record) from the DMV(less than 30 days old)\nMedical Examiner's Certificate (MCSA-5876)\nState of California Paramedic License\nCPR Card ( American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider. Hand written cards are not acceptable )\nICS courses.
