Role OverviewHartree Partners is seeking an AI Enablement Analyst to support the delivery of AI-powered analytics, reporting, and workflow automation across Front, Middle and Back Office operationsThis role sits at the intersection of:Front, Middle and Back Office OperationsNatural Gas and Refined Products workflows (ETRM environments)AI-enabled automation and analyticsYou will work closely with Operations teams to translate established reporting and workflow requirements into AI-enabled processes, improving efficiency, transparency, and decision-making.The role requires strong understanding of commodities workflows and financial reporting, along with a willingness to work across regions, including regular engagement with Portsmouth and New York based teams.What You'll DoSupport delivery of AI-enabled solutions for:Front, Middle and Back Office operationsTranslate recurring reporting requirements into structured AI workflows and automationImprove speed and consistency of management and regulatory reportingAI Workflow Design & ImplementationDesign and refine AI-enabled workflows for:Data ingestion and validationReporting and analytics generationException handling and reconciliationBuild and maintain:Prompt librariesReusable workflowsStandardized agent patternsEnsure outputs are accurate, auditable, and aligned with finance controlsProcess Automation & EfficiencyIdentify manual, spreadsheet-driven, and email-based processes and automate themReduce operational risk and improve transparency across:Credit workflowsReporting cyclesData reconciliation processesCross-Regional CollaborationWork closely with Portsmouth and NY-based teamsTravel as needed to support:ImplementationStakeholder alignmentTraining and adoptionEnsure consistency of solutions across regionsWhat Success Looks LikeFront, Middle and Back Office Operations reporting processes are faster, more consistent, and less manualOperations workflows (including concentrates) are better structured and automatedAI-enabled processes are trusted, auditable, and widely adoptedReduction in manual reconciliation and reporting effortWhat you'll needNatural Gas and Refined Products operationsRisk, settlements, accounting, or operational reportingEnergy trading and supply operations environmentsETRM systems (preferred)Physical product movement and operational workflowsScheduling, confirmations, inventory, and settlement processesOperational reporting, reconciliations, and data validationEnd-to-end trade lifecycle processes for Natural Gas and Refined ProductsData analysis tools (Excel, SQL)Reporting, balancing, and reconciliation processesCross-functional operational and commercial teamsStrong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teamsPreferred / Strongly DesiredExposure to CTRM/ETRM systems (e.g., Aspect, Allegro, Right Angle, or similar)Familiarity with AI/LLMs, prompt engineering, or workflow automationExperience improving or automating Front, Middle, Back Office workflowsPython or scripting experience (helpful but not required)Hartree Partners is an equal opportunities employer.
