We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead cross-functional engineering projects from initiation through production implementation while ensuring compliance with aerospace quality, regulatory, cost, and schedule requirements.\n\nThe Engineering Project Manager serves as the primary leader responsible for coordinating engineering activities, managing technical risks, and ensuring successful execution of projects involving new product introduction (NPI), product transfers, design changes, obsolescence management, qualification testing, and production support.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Leadership\nLead cross-functional engineering projects involving electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations, and program management.\nDevelop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.\nEnsure projects meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.\nFacilitate project reviews, gate reviews, and executive status reporting.\nDrive accountability across functional teams to achieve project milestones.\nEngineering Execution\nCoordinate engineering activities for:\nFlight-critical electronic assemblies\nMechanical and electromechanical assemblies\nDesign modifications\nProduct redesigns due to component obsolescence\nQualification and verification testing\nProduct transfers between manufacturing sites\nManufacturing readiness activities\nMonitor engineering deliverables including drawings, BOMs, specifications, analysis, and test documentation.\nEnsure configuration management and document control processes are followed.\nTechnical Risk Management\nIdentify technical, manufacturing, supplier, and schedule risks.\nDevelop mitigation plans and monitor risk reduction activities.\nEscalate critical issues to leadership with recommended corrective actions.\nCoordinate root cause investigations and corrective actions for engineering-related issues.\nCustomer & Stakeholder Management\nServe as the primary engineering interface with internal stakeholders and external customers.\nPresent technical progress, schedules, and project health to leadership and customers.\nCoordinate customer technical reviews, design reviews, and qualification activities.\nSupport proposal development and project planning for new business opportunities.\nCompliance & Quality\nEnsure engineering activities comply with:\nAS9100 Quality Management System\nFAA regulations where applicable\nMilitary specifications\nCustomer contractual requirements\nConfiguration management requirements\nEngineering change processes\nSupport Design Reviews, Failure Review Boards, MRBs, and Corrective Action Boards as required.\nContinuous Improvement\nDrive improvements in engineering project execution, scheduling, and resource utilization.\nDevelop standardized project management tools, metrics, and reporting.\nApply Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to engineering processes.\nCapture lessons learned and implement best practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related discipline)\n7+ years of engineering or technical project management experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing\nExperience leading cross-functional engineering development projects\nKnowledge of aerospace product development lifecycle\nExperience with engineering change management\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes for electronic and mechanical assemblies\nExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/MRP systems\nPreferred Qualifications\nPMP (Project Management Professional) certification\nMaster's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management\nExperience with legacy aerospace products\nExperience supporting FAA, DoD, or military aerospace programs\nFamiliarity with DO-160 environmental qualification testing\nExperience with component obsolescence management\nKnowledge of IPC standards for electronics manufacturing\nFamiliarity with configuration management tools (PLM systems such as Windchill, Teamcenter, Arena, etc.)\nTechnical
