About the Opportunity:The Engineering Manager, IT & Security will lead a small team responsible for internal IT, security, and compliance. This role plays a key part in strengthening the organization’s technology and security posture by overseeing operational support, compliance audits, security initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.The position provides significant influence over the development of security policies, processes, and best practices while supporting the growth and development of the organization’s security function.3. Responsibilities:• Manage and support a team of IT and security professionals.• Delegate responsibilities effectively and support team members’ professional growth and development.• Guide the team through compliance audits and associated requirements.• Provide company-wide IT and security support.• Collaborate with Operations and other teams to complete security questionnaires and customer requirements.• Develop, manage, and oversee the implementation of security projects and initiatives.• Define, document, and promote security best practices across the organization.• Manage security incident response processes and vulnerability assessments.• Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve IT and security processes.• Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.• Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT and security, including at least 1 year in a management or leadership role.• Experience developing technical security guidelines, policies, and processes.• Strong understanding of security standards, frameworks, and best practices.• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.• Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt.• Ability to recognize when additional expertise or assistance is needed and seek support appropriately.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 audits.• Knowledge of data residency and GDPR requirements.• Experience with offensive security practices.• Familiarity with static code analysis and application security practices.• Experience with AWS security tools and services.• Contributions to security, technology, or open-source communities.5.
